Summer is here!

Here in sunny Queensland we get a rather warm summer. I love it :D
Last summer we got one or two days of HOT weather. Only 1 or 2 days of 40 degree heat. I felt jibbed. I mean I whinge & complain about the hot weather when it's here & we have have had 4 or 5 40 degree days in a row, but I feel like we missed summer last year all together.

Other QLDers were happy about it. They hoped every summer could be like last year.
I however disagreed! I like the distinct differances between seasons.
HOT days are great! Well they are when you have air conditioning I guess!
Bring it I say!!! And I will try very hard to not complain about the heat!

Summer has been here at my place for a while now ... has it only just hit in your suburb? I love the hot weather too, but without AC I'd fizzle up and hate the season.

(Isn't today a scorcher though?!?)

I agree Giv, if it wasn't for air con I would hate it!

And yes today's heat is what promted this post :)

You know what else I like about the heat? It makes Ella's hair go all curly :)

I used to love hot days when I worked in Air conditioned comfort... now at home, in a house that heats up like an oven... no thanks, you can keep the 40 deg temps!

I don't think it counts that you like the heat when you have air-conditioning.

I suggest going to live in Cloncurry where you can have a couple of months of 40+ temperatures. And it doesn't get much cooler at night.

My Mum used to have a rule that the air-conditioning couldn't be turned on until 39 degrees. Except for Christmas Day, when we would use it whether or not it got that hot. The irony is that I start wilting now when the mercury gets much over 32 degrees. That's what we used to cool down to.

I try to take the weather as it comes. It seems silly to spend so much time complaining about it, which is all some people do! Yay for summer. Mostly...
