Happy Birthday to YOU!

I am wishing my gorgeous friend Givinya a very happy birthday today!

Here are 10 reasons, in no particular order why I love her & am proud to call her my friend!
1. She's strong! She has inner strength that I believe is God given.
2. She makes me laugh. Often!
3. She is an awesome mum. She has much patience & enjoys her kids company!
4. She makes delicious sponge cakes.
5. She is a woman after God's own heart & seeks his will.
6. She is there when ever help is needed.
7. She is SOOOOO selfless. (I secretly think she should be a wee bit more selfish)
8. She has great hair! So bouncy, healthy & shiny.
9. She keeps things real, I love that about her.
10. She has made my life richer for knowing her!
Thanks for being such a treasured friend! I love you dearly...

Happy Birthday
xoxo

Oops. I was going to do the same thing on Givinya's birthday. For some reason it never clicked that today was the 12th. Happy Birthday!

Oh my dear, what a lovely post! I have got you fooled haven't I?

1. Well, I do usually start any path of strength with complete falling-apart, as we've all just seen over the last 8 weeks. It's the support of my friends that gets me through.

2. It's just because I'm so silly that I make you laugh.

3. I lose my patience so often, and I love my time alone, but I hope I enjoy my kids >65% of the time. I've decided that 65% ain't bad. As in, "The kitchen is 65% clean, I'll just put my feet up."

4. The nicest sponge cakes were after I'd given up and started buying them from Woolies. Although with a new oven that actually works, I might start trying them again.

5. Oh Swift Jan, I hope so, but you know, I do the falling-apart thing so WELL.

6. Well, thanks, yes sometimes! Not always, and I'm working on that.

7. I think you've got the wrong person.

8. Coming from my hairdresser, that means SO much to me! You know my secret, don't you? I do nothing to it. Nothing. Just wash it when it's ghastly. So it's healthy, but rarely recently-cut and hardly ever coloured or styled. Healthy, yeah, but the low ponytail gets old once you're as ancient as I now am.

9. Well, I'll always do that for you, yes I will. Brace yourself. Sometimes I use bad words.

10. Thankyou so much for saying that. Stay on the Google Talk, because moving away from you will be SO HARD!

I love you and your gorgeous family. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
