Breakfast before sunrise...

As I sit here eating the only meal I am allowed to eat until who knows when later today, I ponder a few things...

  • Will it be a girl or a boy?
  • Will I freak out during the operation?
  • How long will I have to wait around before baby arrives?
  • OH MY GOODNESS!!! I get to meet Itty Bitty TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mixed emotions this morning. I have been awake since 4am. The breaky alarm didn't go off until 5:30am, however I was awake long before that. Excited? Yes. Nervous? Yes. But mostly excited I think.

My caesarean isn't booked until this afternoon. I have to arrive at the hospital at 10am, then the operation is scheduled for sometime AFTER 1:30pm. I dont know what order on the list I am, I wont find that out until I get there. So if I am last & they need to do any emergancies in the mean time Itty Bitty may not arrive until late this afternoon. Boy I will be hungry by then!! But hopefully there will be no delays! Hopefully!!

Swift Jim promised me that he would post an update for you all when he gets home from the hospital tonight! So, stay tuned!!

CAN'T WAIT for your update, Swift Jim!

Your birth-day sounds a bit like mine was - waking up before the alarm, wondering when I'd eat next.

Here are my guesses to your questions:

I'm thinking it will be a girl, to surprise you all.

You won't freak out - you'll find it special and glorious, and you'll be glad you didn't have to do as much work as in a natural birth (I know you've been getting uncomfy, just like I was!)

You'll have to wait around for ever - that's the way it goes (this is just my guess, mind you.)

OH MY GOODNESS!! We all get to know WHO itty bitty actually is - TODAY!!!

My caesar was the first of the day, so the not-eating didn't crush me so bad. I had to fast from 2am! Get that! Yah, I think can pass up my usual 4am sandwiches ...

The killer was not drinking my usual gallons of water. I was allowed a 'small sip' with my morning BP medicine. I took 2 'small sips.' Then later on I took 2 more small sips. Then later still, I swiped a few more small sips. I was PARCHED.

C'mon, Itty Bitty! We're busting to know who you are!

Wanna know something funny? You know how I make SO MANY typos, especially on this little keyboard?

Well in the ccomment above, I accidentally spelled "BP medicine" wrong - I put "BO medicine."

HA!

BO medicine! Imagine that! Yeah, I could do with a prescription for that.

I'm gonna guess girl!

How exciting!

I'd like some BO medicine, too. And how about CO (crotch odor)? That would help me out when meeting dogs.

Something tells me the swift family are all bunkering down to enjoy their new little one! I know they've been having computer issues, so I'll stop hassling them and let them get on with the bunkering & enjoying.

Or is it 'hunkering'?

Meanwhile I have changed my homepage to "1, 2, 3, 4 Kicked my toe" as I wait for a post and some pictures from Swift Jim, who is being remarkably un-Swift about it.

I think it's hunkering. And there are photos on Facebook...

Congratulations!!

Any of the other commenters care to share details??

Facebook! Argh! They put pics on Facebook but not the blog?!?

Is this a subtle way to make people like me sign up to Facebook?

Ahem, Femina and Givinya/Kate, care to share whether she had a boy or girl?
