Mysterious Virus not such a mystery anymore!

I went to my Doctor for a check up today. Not good news :(

+ for Ross River Fever... Blasted bloody mozzies!!! I HATE THEM!!
+ for Parvo......

So at least we have answers , but I have so much to be concerned about now. Please pray for me and my unborn baby (shhhhh).

Aww thanks for the bloggy love in my previous post. I guess I was having a what's the point kind of day.
I might hang around for a little bit longer than eh....
Now to think of something worthwhile to blog about.......

Not sure I can be bothered?

With blogging.... I think my posts are boring & to be quite honest I never know what to blog about.
Not sure how much longer my blog will be around...

My big boy...

Started Prep today! His first day of big school!

Chestnut Cheeks was very excited, he woke at 5am!! Daddy however made him go back to sleep...phew! Otherwise he would be very tired this arvo!

He seemed a little reserved when we arrived, he didn't know many of the kids because most of his friends were in other classes. But there were a couple of familiar faces, so that helped.

I had to choke back tears a few times. Especially when other mums asked how I was doing. But I made it to the car before bawling my eyes out!

Today I am not sad at all, and yet I keep tearing up when ever I think about my baby boy dressed and ready in his school uniform!

I wonder how he is going?

Imaginative Play

My kids have been playing lots of pretend games lately. It's very cute to watch. The most common game is Mum's & Dad's... note: I know when CC is referring to AE as "the Mum" coz I am Mummy not Mum to him....

Anyhoo the thing that cracks me up is that they will be talking to each other and at the end of their sentence they will say " said the Dad" or "said the mum"... Such a crack up!

This also happens with other pretend games... toy story games, Thomas the Tank games, Lightening McQueen.... it's like they are telling a story as they go.
Kids really are a delight!

Thanks for all the concern

Thanks for all the concern you showed me last week while I have been ill.
My doctor couldn't figure out exactly what it was, however she said if my immune levels weren't so high she would have thought I had rubella!! Not something I want to be burdened with right now. But she assured me that I am immune to it, so it cant be that. Lucky! I know tooooooo many pregnant people right now!
So they have put the mysterious red rash & fevers down to an unknown virus. Thanks. At least it is gone now & I feel so much better!!!

Chitter Chatter with my Mum

On Monday I was ill. I had been having terrible fevers all weekend & they weren't getting any better. I felt rotten. My wonderful Mum came over to help me unpack after our holiday & to help me out with the kids.
She also kindly took me to the doctor & did some groceries for me.
I had to get some blood tests done to find out what the fevers were about so mum dropped me off....
Apparently Almond Eyes was quite concerned.....

AE: Will they sew mummy's legs back on tomorrow?
Mama: Oh No darling they aren't going to take her legs off, they are just taking a tiny little bit of blood out of her arm.
AE: Oh, will they sew her arm back on?
Mama: Oh no darling they aren't going to take her arm off. They are just going to put a needle in her arm and make a tiny tiny hole. Then they will put a bandaid on it & it will be all better tomorrow.
AE: Is it a special bandaid?
Mama: Yes.

Later when I returned to the car...

AE: Do you have a special bandaid?
Me: Yes!

A few Happy Snaps

It's been a hectic week since arriving home on Saturday. I have been unwell will unexplainable high fevers for the most part, plus there is all the unpacking etc....

So finally some happy snaps of our holiday to Phillip Island...

We had a really lovely time. The weather was unusual. Well for us it was anyhow.... the locals are used to it! One day it was cold, the next it was warm. No wonder I got sick! lol

It was great to catch up with family and friends along the way, made the holiday extra special!!

The kids travelled brilliantly in the car going down. Coming home though was a slightly different story. Plenty of whinging going on in the back seat!! Overall though, I would say it was worth it!
