This is what Gumboots are for!!

We have had MAMMOTH rain here in the past 48hrs.... Today is a little dryer...
Yesterday however was the worst day. Many of the rivers in our town are flooded.
When I dropped Chestnut Cheeks off at school yesterday I was unprepared! The pathway into the school was flooded up higher than my ankle! Imagine a five year old walking through that! Mmm nice soggy shoes & socks all day! I carried him over the giant puddle to the safelty of his classroom, where they stayed all day...
I then went to the shops with Almond Eyes & purchased some much needed Raincoats & new gumboots! Glad I did, because that giant puddle I had to wade through at the beginning of the day turned into a lake by 3pm a lake that was about knee deep for me!!! Here is the fun the kids had as soon as they got out of the car after picking CC up....

I was very glad for purchasing my boots at the end of last winter! A good investment I'd say!!

Oh & the Drought is officially OVER!!!! Praise the LORD!!!!

Oh wow, I didn't realise it was so flooded there! Toowoomba is hilly (as you know) so things just get spongy here. The little creeks flowing through town turned into lakes, but I expected that.

Hope things dry out soon, and thanks God for the RAIN!

the kids are very excited by the looks of the smiles.
We did some very little (by comparison) puddle jumping today
Yes, praise God for the rain.

I have never in my life owned a pair of gumboots. I am SO JEALOUS; that looks like loads of fun!

We're still in drought here so feel free to send some of that rain down to us.

Wow! Just drizzle out here, I'm afraid. Lots of it, though.

Yeah, drought not over here, either. We can see the rain on the hills in the distance and we've had a couple of inches, but we desperately need more to get the winter crops doing their thing.
