It's been tricky this time around. About 1/2 way through we settled on a girls name. We are still working on a boys name. And since Givinya had a boy, I am feeling pretty certain that this baby will also be a boy :) Afterall, our last two children turned out to be the same sex, and we both "felt" like our current babies would be boys also. So I am conivinced. I dont however know for sure, so it may be a girl... but I think it's a boy....
Anyhow. We are still working on a name if it is infact a boy.
What are your thoughts on our dilema... Do you go ahead with a name that you both like in its full form even if you dislike most of the shortened forms that, lets face it, he would most likely recieve at some stage of his life. Particulary in his school years. And its those shortened names that often stick throughout their life.
We are not sure.... I dont want to say the actual name we are thinking about, but I will use Richard as an example. Lets say we really like Richard, but really dislike like; Ritchie, Dick, Rick, Rich.... Do we still call the child Richard anyway, even though it may at one point in it's life get called one of those other short forms by his peers?
*sigh* If only Swift Jim liked Henry..... ;)
ETA: In Australia it is not uncommon for people to add an "O" onto the end of a name. For example... Damo (Damien), Thommo (Thomas), Jonno (Jonathan)... I find it incredibly bogan and fear the name we like is susceptable to such a shortening... ICK

4X Holes in the head!
Poor Swift Jim!
On Tuesday he had all 4 of his wisdom teeth removed surgically. Two of those teeth were pretty majorly impacked up in his sinuses. So, a simple wisdom tooth extraction turned into full on oral surgery.
He is sore & sorry & swollen. It's not fun at all. And to top THAT off, he has a nose that wont stop dripping, and he is not allowed to blow that nose for 6 weeks !! That's a long time!
So here at the Swift household, things have been rather mopey for a few days now.
I hope he returns to his usual self REALLY soon.....

All is well for Givinya and Thingamababy!!
I don't want to spoil her news for you. So I wont... but just wanted to put any worried minds at ease... Kate and her precious baby are both safe & well!!
I will let her tell you all the details of sex, name, size etc etc... It's not my news to tell :)

Look what Monique did for me!
We had to buy a new pram for this baby. The kids have absolutley TRASHED our other one. I wanted to make a liner for the seat to keep the pram as clean as possible this time. Hopefully that way we might be able to resell it later.
I thought about making it myself, but then I had a thought! Wouldn't it look great if the liner could match my funky nappy bag that Monique made! So I emailed her, and LOOK....

She just whipped it up in no time!! It's gorgeous! I can't wait for Mr Postman to deliver it!
It will look fabbo with the bag wont it!

Chitter Chatter
The kids like looking in my pregnancy & birth book & often ask what the baby looks like now.
Well the baby is at 32 weeks gestation now so I opened the book up to this page to show them...
Ella: Awww cuuute!!! It's cute now!
Me: Yeah it looks like a real baby now doesn't it
Ella: Yeah............ It's a hobo!
Me: A hobo? Is that because it doesn't have any clothes on?
Ella: *giggling* yeah. Where are it's Jammies?
Me: It cant wear jammies until it's born.
Ella: Oh.
